Our Story

Here is the story of Hunter's Ale House:

Hunter's Ale House opened July 27th 2005 on the corner of Kent and Prince Streets with the pledge to offer Islanders and tourists alike the best value for their dollar.
HAH is Island owned and operated by professionals who strive to exceed the expectations of their guests in a pub atmosphere.

With a definite focus on great steak and seafood HAH prides itself on serving Charlottetown's favorite pub fare. Hunter's focuses its attention to filling the guests' belly and to never have a guest leave hungry or unsatisfied. Hunter's uses only the freshest ingredients and butchers our own meat on the premises. Island potatoes are cut fresh daily to provide the best tasting french fries possible. Don't forget to try one of our two daily soups on the all you can eat soup and salad bar!

With our two large outdoor patios diners are able to experience the hot summer sun and gentle breeze from the Charlottetown Harbour while relaxing with one of Hunter's famous BIG BEERS in the downtown surroundings. Inside the 130 year structure that once housed a pharmacy you will find a newly decorated oak decor, spacious seating and sliding windows and doors to suit any temperature!

After the sun goes down Hunter's provides the best music our fine Island has to offer. Local, regional, and national acts have graced our stage where we strive to provide the most unique entertainment scene in PEI. Hunter's has never charged more than $5 to enter no matter what act has played, this is a promise we made to our customers on day 1 and it is our hopes to never have this change.

Hunter's Ale House employs more than 30 people in peak season. Our team consists of hard working individuals who share the same vision as HAH's mission.

We invite you to our location and encourage your feedback.
